Let’s diminish what he’s trying to accomplish!
he is trying to drain the 175 champion??

      It’s 168 now.

      Kovalev is 600 years old.

Canelo is the number one pound for pound fighter in his prime. He holds a title two weight classes above GGG’s weight class.

      why is that a problem for Mr " anyone from 154-168 " ... ?

Canelo doesn’t hold a title two weight classes above GGG

          It clearly isn’t!

I can’t wait to see you criticize him for moving up in weight to fight the number one pound for pound fighter.

He vacated it after winning it in his last fight.

Let’s pretend like he didn’t win the 175 pound title in his last bout!

I don’t pretend that at all. He vacated it for a reason. You didn’t mention he vacated it, also for a reason

Because he didn’t want to fight Elieder Alvarez?

What does that have to do with GGG moving up in weight to fight the number one pound for pound fighter and how full of ***** everyone on this message board is?

Reason being he doesn’t want any part of Bivol and Beterbiev
It’s all there at the end of the tunnel
Ffs he doesn’t even want to entertain the idea of fighting Bivol at 168
Imo , that would be the way to go. , fighting Bivol has the makings of a trilogy I think

Because it was a cherry picked title. He clearly isn’t a 175lb fighter

Golovkin is fighting for money. Do we give Berto and Guerrero credit for fighting the then P4P best, or do we see it as a no-lose payday?

I don’t blame Canelo for not fighting those two. He isn’t a 175lb fighter. I’m far from a Canelo defender on here, but winning a 175lb title with a size disadvantage is an optional thing which I give Canelo full credit for. I didn’t blame RJJ for swerving Lewis either. They saw the chance to cherry pick a title, and good for them both
