When a man's arm goes limp it usually suggests there is a disconnect between brain and body - this is just basic science bruh. Isn't it ironic that the counter puncher (Canelo) got countered with probably the biggest punch of the fight in that 10th round... re-watch it again. There was an exchange and Canelo threw a lazy jab out but got countered with a monstrous Golovkin right - said jab hand instantly went limp! He was hurt bruh - no two ways about it.

He was again hurt in the 11th round (you can really tell he was hurt because for the first time in the whole entire fight he started to back up to the ropes and removed himself from the pocket). Canelo is one of those fighters that has a good poker face - I also believe Jacobs hurt him at one point in their fight but he did well to hide it.
