What makes Lomachenko an all time great? I have looked at his record he has a record of 14-1 that's not many fights, like what has he done to be in that conversation for some people?

I see also that he has won a olympic gold medal twice.

Who says he's an ATG and what is an 'all time great' anyway? How would you, personally, define such a thing?

IMO you can't be an ATG until the fighter is retired and some thought goes into it.

This. The answer I always give. Leave all the ATG discussions to the historians of the future.

He's not an all time great if he retires today but everyone can see his incredible skillset. Anything can happen in boxing, he could get clipped, knocked out cold and never be the same again but it does look like he's on his way to all time great status.

He’s not an atg, but he has been on a historic run

He’s white. That’s why he’s been overhyped and prematurely crowned with such superlatives. Same thing with fury. All you have to do is search the threads. You’ve got threads saying fury is an atg who would beat ali and all the other atgs. There are fantasy threads matching loma up against all of the past atgs around his weight as he’s proven to be on their level. It’s really not hard to figure out.

Guess you don’t see threads like these

So forum posters then? And the consensus appears to be that maybe he could be eventually but certainly ain't yet, I can only assume as some kinda combined assesment of his ammy and pro records. That's why I asked the question what the TS meant.

Far as I'm concerned these are questions for the future... wait til a dude's retired. Wait til everyone he fought's retired, then wait another 10 years or more... then... maybe, we might be in a postition to take a slightly objective stance on it.

I ain't got a problem saying he's an ATG amateur though, based on his accomplishments in that sport which are slightly more easily quantified. As a pro - let's wait and see. I got patience but time definitely ain't on his side.

Racism..? There's plenty of it about - and I'm sure that's an element - but I don't think you'll find appreciation for Lomachenko and his skillset is confined to the melanin deficient population, Fury either for that matter. Worth taking account that some folk are just more prone to hyperbole than others... or trolling.

His amateur record alone puts him in the conversation.

Equalled the record for the fastest ever world champion.

Fastest ever 2 weight and 3 weight world champion.

                  He’s already an ATG IMO.
