Conor won almost all his fights with a standard boxing type straight left. He just threw the straight left and knocked them out.
Yeah Im same I dont watch it like boxing but I do watch it quite a bit and I see it how you do.

Lots of average boxers have done well converting over to the UFC, and when the bigger name guys go across they washed up and just cashing in, you never see a Manny or Floyd level guy in prime have a crack at the UFC, I honest believe a PRIME elite boxer with a few mths of defending training would be sooooooo dangerous for a UFC guy to come into, we saw the punching power of Connor disappear and was supossed to be a punching beast I dont think the UFC guys hit anywhere near the power of GGG or Manny, Imagine being hit clean by GGG with 4oz mitts, he would kill you.

But they have the skills to avoid getting taken to the ground. Grapplers won’t just allow you to hit them in a stand up. They will find a way and they’re pros at doing them. If you’re a striker you can’t have zero knowledge at ground defense.

I was watching a video with Bisping and he was saying that its not that hard to learn some defense, that the top boxers like Loma Floyd etc could learn enough defense so they are not easy to take down in under 6 mths, enough to allow them to use their great punching.

I believe the elite boxers are super athletes and would never write them of in a fight of any kind in their prime years.

Here is another one, Floyd gave Conner 25lbs weight advantage and walked through his punches to stop him, this is prime Conner years.

Now lets reverse the situation and have prime Mayweather in the cage against a retired 40yr old UFC star and Floyd has a 25lb weight advantage, even haters have got to be able to see what would happen here.

Remember we're at 154... Virtually impossible for a non boxer to come close to floyd or manny. If ever they do? A simple 154 wont take a Bwakaw down just like that. He'd be taking those elbows, knees and kicks before stepping back... Mc gregor has this ugly lead that knocks out the top guys. What more floyd and manny?

Those guys are usually standing with each other because they both have the wrestling/bjj skills to make it not worth expending tons of energy trying to take the other guy down.

Until the run across a wrestler who has decent striking but is excellent at takedowns... that striker is screwed because he is gonna get swept of single or double legged to a GnP loss or submission.

Excuse me? any Div 1 wrestler can do a leg pick from 6 to 8 feet away. PLEASE stop using boxing footwork with MMA because footwork for boxing gets you taken down and submitted.

All sounds good on paper, but as I said stand up in UFC win loads of fights, and that fact on face value must mean elite prime boxers have a very good chance with just a little defensive training.

Im not saying elite boxers are definitely going to win Im saying they are right in the fight with good preparation.

I just watched a match last night that was Usman vs Covinton and the whole fight was stand up and as Im watching Im thinking look at the boxing holes in these guys and lack of power, and then the commentator says Usman is the worlds best WW.

Im not talking old washed up boxers Im talking our elite and when they are prime.

Nobody wants to tackle what I said about prime Floyd having 25lb advantage over a 40 yr old retired UFC guy, I didnt think so because Floyd would KO him quick.
