The man talks utter nonsense. He is a quality operator, but until he steps up to the plate we won't know how good he really is. His biggest wins are the upset of past-prime Andy Lee (5 years ago), and clowning Canadian club fighter David Lemieux (3 years ago), both at Middleweight. Since then he has looked less than stellar, whilst trashing other fighters and calling out the likes of Canelo and Golovkin.

I am tired of hearing this guys name, and I used to be a fan. Jacobs? Andrade? Eubank Jr. II? He has ducked all of these fights. His last 3 opponents are ranked #497, #86 and #78. Somehow that equates to a Super Middleweight "World" title run. He uses negativity to stay relevant. Until he fights another top 5-10 opponent, he isn't on the radar.

Best fighter he fought is probably Eubank Jr. That was a close split decision, Saunders could have easily lost that fight and no one would have argued. One of the judges gave it to Eubank 116-113! I've been thinking the same about Saunders for a while now, he's never fought an elite fighter in their prime so he still has to prove himself as an elite.

      Swap names, it still works.

Terence Crawford talks so much, he needs a statement win to back it up.

Terence Crawford hasn't ever failed a drug test.

That's fair. But that wasn't brought up by the OP.

And in any case, Crawford's failure to spark Khan's chin, getting dropped by Kavaliauskas and getting nearly taken the distance by Benavidez might mean he got off the juice when he went to welterweight. Who knows?

I agree they robbed Kalishnikov (&#129322 of a knockdown.
            That wasn't cool.

Somebody is comparing Saunders to Crawford?

I agree with the OP, Saunders is just waiting to cash out. He was forced into the Lee and Lemieux fights, I don’t believe he’ll ever take a risk unless he has to. Canelo would have smashed him anyway tbh.

He has not fought a legit top 10 guy since Lemieux years ago and that includes that unknown guy he beat to get his 168 pound title. He said he would fight Andrade and he should because Andrade has been fighting easy guys as well. A fight between them would be the first good fight for either of them in years.

Yeah Saunders is all mouth. Lemieux is pretty rubbish and he's still BJS's best win.

What we do know is this.

Billy Juice Saunders has top names on his resume and no asterisks. Now, whether nasal spray PEDs had anything to do with it is a different conversation. But the fact is, I don't recall Saunders ever getting flush two-pieced, wobbled and dropped by anyone he fought. Fairly certain none of his wins came from blatant low blows.

So yeah, OP is not wrong, but the same could be said about some other fighters.
