Pac is a hell of a good fighter. He is an all time great. But he never was a full welterweight. He is really no more than a big lightweight even though he fights at 147. He can eat and drink as much as he wants and come in at 145 pounds. Canelo would have been much too big and powerful for Pac. Even if he weighed in at 152 Canelo could put on 18 pounds by fight time and have at least a 20 pound weight advantage over Pac and it would all be muscle. Pac is a great offensive fighter but not a defensive fighter like Floyd. I think he would slug it out with Canelo and get KOed.

Manny was 150 fight night against Floyd, Floyd was 150 fight night against Canelo, the difference in height and reach is always there, but it was a lot more than height and reach that beat Canelo .

Manny more than likely would not have the ring IQ and boxing skills to overcome the weight difference, Manny makes up his size handicap with power and density, Manny is not this tiny guy he is not that much smaller just more condensed power.

I see a close competitive fight that definitely has a rematch. Maybe manny even gets robbed the 1st time around

Don’t see manny getting knocked out by trading. roach would have him moving or running a lot as the manny fans would say against a man so big.

Cotto who doesn’t have manny’s endurance and chin saw the final bell with Alvarez, so I think manny does VS this pre-prime Canelo

Some good points, I feel Manny would exchange even in spots and that would be his downfall, Floyd didnt get hit I think Manny would and even more so than Cotto, just a styles thing, any elite guy can beat another if he dont get hit, in these situations with much bigger guys that is Floyds power and Manny weakness, I wouldnt bet money against Manny in that fight though.

Pac's stamina and high output could have been big trouble for a conservative guy like Canelo. Especially when Canelo was at 154 and below, he had trouble with endurance, and with a fast guy who shows weird angle and throws a lot Canelo would have big problems. Canelo would have to counter with a big shot to stop Pacquiao. Hard to say what the outcome would be. The new and improved Canelo is a different story altogether. He's a MUCH better fighter now than he was in 2013-2014.

Pacquiao stops Canelo Alvarez at 152 catchweight of he was pre KO Pacquiao. Canelo looked like a corpse in the 152 catchweight with shot reflexes.

Man a lot of fans DKSAB...

1.) Pac never felt that kind of power.

2.) Pac consistently uses a HIGH GUARD in fights, Canelo would rattle that and punch through it, possibly tumbling him over and over like in other fights where PAC is tumbling backwards to the ropes.

3.) Canelo would simply look for the counter whenever Pac leaps his combos. Take some to rocket one. Pac ain’t denting Canelo, and comparing Margarito to Canelo is a joke.

Anybody who believes Floyd was 150lbs against Canelo is ******. Floyd doesn’t disclose and they’re all guesses. Floyd looked ripped at the weigh in and filled on fight night. That was AT THE VERY LEAST 5lbs since that was the biggest Floyd I have ever seen considering his physique was bigger than when he fought De La Hoya or Cotto...

Pacquiao beats the Canelo of 2013 on points IMO. Canelo essentially needed that loss to Mayweather to make him adapt and become a more rounded fighter.
