Probably an 8 or so. It wasn't the technical masterclass that people make it out to be, but it was another eye opener for the boxing world. Those are always good.

      10.

Barrera took the undefeated Hamed’s power punching, off balance style and beat it to hell. Slammed his face into the turn buckle WWE style in response to all the trash talk. It was a complete ass whooping.

Hamed was extremely dangerous but Marco made it look like he was nothing. Style wise, not sure anyone else could have done it.

7 or 8, I went 7. I was a huge Hamed fan but I always knew when he came up against a tough and very competent top level Boxer he would struggle. The prince's style did not go for round winning point earning work he was flash and wild and went for KO shots. Barrera just had to be in good form and good shape and the writing was on the wall for the Brit.

It was a very good win but to me it was an expected win. All he had to do was avoid much of the power punches from Hamed.

Barrera was a 3-1 underdog. If you saw it coming then cong**** but I haven’t seen the level of genius from you that would have me believe you turned against your 3-1 favourite in a fight prediction.

            I give it a 7, but it may have been a 6.

I always hated Hamed but I don't let that cloud my judgement, Hamed was a mental midget who didn't have it anymore at that stage, I think a lot of people could beat him that night. Emmanuel Steward was not a liar and if you listen to him, Hamed entire camp was a joke.

It's similar to Maidana vs Broner and Fury vs Wilder where it was hilarious to watch but that shouldnt lead to overating the quality of the win, Hamed wasn't an elite fighter at that stage.

This fight was MAB's career defining moment. It was easily the biggest win of his career as Naseem Hamed was undefeated at the time. In addition, Barrera was coming off of three losses; Two to Junior Jones and a very close loss to Erik Morales.

Also, many boxing fans and experts were beginning to question his chin. They started to write him off as a washed up fighter but he proved them all wrong.

This fight actually ended Hamed's career. Marco literally broke his will. He beat all the fight and life out of Naseem Hamed that night.

Naseem would never be the same fighter again after this bout. Therefore on a scale of between 1-10. I will give it a 10.

Oh, I changed my mind. You’re a modern day Einstein. Clearly.

10 easily. There was the hype in this fight, the trash talk and Hamed’s ****iness and he was truly the man to beat at that time. Before that fight happened, he was easily the favorite to beat any fighter within his weight class. What Barrera did to him was remarkable especially how he humbled down Hamed after the fight
