Why do Canelo fans defend Canelo for fighting Lemieux when they trash GGG for fighting Lemieux?

...especially when GGG fought Lemieux to unify titles and Canelo is fighting Lemieux years later, after he’s looked like dog s**t against sub par competition.

Canelo fans with a straight face:

Canelo recently fought GGG and (former GGG victim) Danny Jacobs!

Somehow they do not see the hypocrisy of trashing GGG for his resume while using fighters he beat as an example for the strength of Canelo’s resume.

They also don’t see the hypocrisy of claiming GGG sucks and then using Canelo’s win over him to prop up Canelo’s resume.

I think Canelo Alvarez’s fan base is the dumbest fan base in all of sports.

ESPN+ back in March reported the worst subs cancelled ever from their platform. Then Corona came weeks later. Loma doesn’t purse anywhere near Canelo. Loma’s purse will also be significantly bigger than Lopez’s. They’re not big sales gate guys. ESPN and Top Rank are taking drastic measure to please it’s boxing fans on that platform. That’s the circumstance. Lomachenko fought ATG Crolla last... canelo just fought Kovalev last... we all know Crolla is levels above elite than Krusher. In fact Crolla was P4P #2 at one point. God forbid Loma has to fight Lopez from Crolla.

Idk man how much of a "GGG victim" was Jacobs really? I thought he beat Golovkin and did better against Derevyanchenko than Golovkin did, too. Was a good win by Canelo.

It’s an action stay busy fight. It’s not the best fight to be made but probably the best fight that can be made.

I’d rather Canelo fight Benavidez or Plant but realistically they ain’t happening. Those super fights are being put on hold up
Until they can generate live gate revenue.

I’m expressing that he lost the fight to GGG. Canelo fans are using guys GGG beat to prop up Canelo while claiming GGG doesn’t beat anyone.

I didn’t mean to imply that GGG destroyed him. It was very close. But he lost the fight to GGG.

Many in press row scored Canelo-Jacobs a draw. It’s still a win for Canelo.
