No he wasn't. You saw the fight with Golovkin. He got smashed. You saw the Fielding fight with Canrlo. Fielding got smashed. Both guys are not close to top level fighters.

Fielding was good enough to be a WBA regular champion, though. You can't take that away from him.

      There's levels to this.

Yeah there are levels but I remember several posters from the UK were saying Fielding was just a paper champ. Brits are generally loyal to their fighters so I see that as saying alot. Don't forget Fielding was not allowed to rehydrate as he normally would. That's my take on it.

Such cynicism in one so young!

Probably 80 -90% of boxing at this level is mismatches, man, even at the best of times, though we still get a few upsets. I prefer to concentrate on the positives however. Spent the bulk of my life a bitter cynic - or a realist if that suits your perspective - and it didn't improve my life or that of those around me one bit.

Szeremeta - GGG however is a shit fight pretty much whichever way you cut it, unless GGG really has slipped, though probably in line with the level of many mandos particularly from the IBF.

Ryder vs Canelo however I don't mind one bit, only 2 fights I like for Canelo more at 168 are Plant and Benavidez, and in the straitened circumstances of semi-lockdown Ryder vs Canelo would be better than I'd hope for.... should be a fun fight with the only downer being I can't see any possible route to victory for John.

My boy Canelo is always the proper gym shark posting on Social Media more than any other boxer, and he doesn’t have to. He stays ready. You know the politics of the game. As Koba said, lockdown, purses being lowered... yeah Ryder isn’t ideal for Canelo, but what other industry forces could make the fight with Canelo? The forum has been saturated with news the past 3 months about ongoing negotiations from every corner.

AT LEAST, IF we do get a Ryder fight. Don’t you think some fans willl take the Ryder vs Smith fight into better context to have Smith prioritize with Canelo? This situation with Ryder seems perfect! Whom else would you choose? 168 fight is perfect for Canelo.

I’ll be 100% honest, I’m not even interested in Canelo fighting at 160 anymore. I hope people quote me too. Canelo should stay at 168 and get that Ring Belt.

not interested in any of the top guys fighting lesser opponents... for whatever reason

when things return to normal, I will start to get interested
