Actually Szeremeta doesn't look terrible from what footage there is, but he's not remotely proven at this kinda level. I'd pick Ryder over him in a heartbeat.

Ordinary is pretty much 'not terrible' no?

I don't think Szeremeta belongs at world level though, whereas Ryder could in fact bring us some fairly decent fights (and has done) and at SMW I reckon could give a tough night to any of the top guys in the division. In fact I got him unbeaten at 168, although his earlier losses at 160 obviously count against him.

I'd actually be fairly happy if John gets a shot against Canelo, think he'll make a real fight of it even if I don't really see a route to victory.
