Lol Bivols team pretending Beterbiev don't exist, calling out canelo 100 times, but whens last time he mentioned beterbiev

Well until Canelo selects an opponent I can't blame Bivol or anyone else for trying to get that assignment. Now once Canelo selects someone else then I would expect Bivol to push for a unification with Beterbiev if he genuinely cares about legacy.Comment

Bivol vs Canelo is a great matchup, a 50-50 imho for both guys but if Bivol were really about legacy he would look for undisputed at LHW and would look for that Beterbiev fight, right now Beter is the man at 175.
Of course he's said numerous times that he would move down to 168 to fight Canelo so a fight at 168 would be a great one.Comment

Zzzzz I'm a big Bivol fan but I don't want to see this fight. Canelo is boring. I want to see Bivol face interesting entertaining opponents. Canelo almost lost to Austin Trout at 154 and needed WBC open scoring to help him, he got wobbled by Liam Smith at 154, he barely beat Lara at 154, old GGG who struggled with a welterweight Brook, a B+ Danny Jacobs, and a B+ Dereyvanchenko arguably beat him at 160, but this is supposed to be an interesting opponent for people? Come on.
I know Canelo is Mexican, and boxing has a big Mexican fanbase. I know he is good looking, and has a unique look for a Mexican. But boxing is a SPORT. Canelo is a good athlete don't get me wrong, but just look at what actually happened in the ring, he's just not that interesting.
Manny Pacquiao, he is interesting, elite athlete, proven performances in the ring dominating A+. Dmitry Bivol at 168 and 175, he is interesting, elite athlete, was in the ring against guys on Trout or Liam Smith level and unlike Canelo, barely ever did a round get scored against him.
These are top fighters. Mikey Garcia back at 135, barely ever lost a round. Lomachenko. Usyk. Crawford. Guys who barely ever lose a round against Liam Smith or Trout or possibly even a Danny Jacobs. Even Alfredo Angulo was appearing to get to Canelo late before stopped it.
I'm not saying Canelo wont win his fights. We know how boxing is, Canelo will probably not lose a fight until maybe the very end of his career, or maybe 1 out of a trilogy he will lose or something like that, but I'm just not interested, and that's another reason.Comment

I'm well aware of that. I think it's a terrible idea if he does it and agrees to a dehydration clause. It will be his demise. I could see Canelo fighting him only if the dehydration clause is there.Comment

i love the notion that a guy who was fighting floyd at 152 at age 23...is ducking a 175lber that turned pro at like age 28 and just made himself a viable name at the end of 2019....yeah canelo has really been plotting the "age out" of artur beterbiev....LMFAOComment
