I don’t even remember where Kovalev was ranked P4P when Canelo fought him. But since we’re talking about Prime.

I’ll say Canelo’s prime started in 2018 and elevating. So Canelo really has only 1 (Kova) KO at Prime. 1 win vs Jacobs. 1 with GGG. 2 P4P adversaries from 2018. Floyd had his second phase from 2010 onward mainly relying on countering for point accumulation. I don’t know if Canelo will approach a efficiency in that manner, but if it’s about winning fights and not getting hurt as Floyd, then I’d say Canelo has about 4 more fights till prime ends, which is about where Bud is now. 32 years of age. As others have said, who is Bud facing that would effect his armor? Duran went higher than Bud... Crawford walks around 170lbs+

It gets boring watching some fans chase their own tails trying to explain away an outcome.

              This already happened.

There’s no indication that GGG wasn’t in his prime when he fought Canelo. He was literally undefeated when he did the first time.
And he did beat Canelo the first time despite what the judges drew.
He won at least 7-8 rounds.

GGG was 35 when he fought Nelo 1

35-0;100 kos in 165 odd rounds. An average of less than 5 rds a fight !

165 rounds fought and ZERO WARS !!!!

Nelo is 30 and has 55 fights (402 rounds) vs better comp.

How was GGG more ''shot'' than Nelo ?!?!?!?

You can see a steady decline in GGG since the Brook match onwards

post-brook GGG is slower, less sharp, his reflexes are almost gone. pre-Brook GGG had a pretty good defense, current GGG eats punches like skittles.

although GGG detractors claim it is because he finally stepped up the competition

one thing for sure, current GGG IS past prime, no way a prime GGG would get jabbed 3 or 4 times in the face consecutively without doing anything or getting beaten from pillar to post by a guy like Derevyanchenko

                    ''13 KOs''

24 rds and GGG couldn't even buzz Nelo. He sat Danny down for a couple of seconds, though.

People who know boxing would know that ggg was even more reckless when he was younger. He would be an even easier target for canelo. Canelo would batter him. ggg went 12 rounds with canelo in their 2 fights was because he played it safe. It really doesn't matter now. Current ggg is just plain washed up.
