Please enlighten me. How does Tyson go about fighting without a British boxing licence, in the UK. I am under the assumption that one must have a British boxing licence to fight in the UK, and how does the BBBofC sanction a bout if a fighter does not have said documentation?

Over here in America for example, you can apply to different states for a permit, however they usually honor the ruling of other Athletic commissions in our union. However, exemptions have been made for particular fighters.

Let’s not exaggerate. There are numerous PEDS, and fighters aren’t juiced as they were in the 80-90’s...or taking drinks in the ring or having smelling salts. Those particular boosts in the ring are the definitive forms of cheating in combat sports and are banned substances.

I think this will be Miller's ruin. Not only has he thrown the precious second chance (more like the third fourth or fifth chance, I've honestly lost count at this point) in the toilet, but he did so after signing with Top Rank, who no doubt have put money into preparing for his comeback and gone through no small amount of work with various powers that be to justify getting this serial drug cheat back fighting again. I bet Arum is furious. Not only will they discard him, but I bet they sue him too.

You got me. I wonder if any top ranked HW like Anthony Joshua would go along with Tyson's screwy selection of BIBA to manage safety protocols. If the BBBofC is as bad as we believe they are, I hate to think how Malta and BIBA would moderate the events. Do you honestly believe Eddie Hearn would go along with that?! :lol:

But in reality, Fury would likely apply for a BBBC licence anyway. It was suspended pending investigation and he never reapplied for it. They were willing to licence him again if he passed a medical test but he chose to fight in the US instead. The legal issues weren’t between Fury and BBBC, but with UKAD which is a separate entity
