CSAC response to Tyson Fury glove tampering allegation

"On November 30, 2018 Glove selection process. These gloves went through a detailed inspection process. The Chief Second of both camps were present and able to inspect their opponents’ gloves during this selection process. Once the gloves were selected, they were kept with CSAC personnel. Each glove was weighed individually to ensure compliance with the rules.

On December 1, 2018, The gloves were given to the assigned Inspectors of the Fury vs Wilder Championship fight. There was direct observation and control of these gloves in the locker room by the CSAC Inspectors. As always, the CSAC inspectors re-examined the gloves prior to allowing each fighter to put the gloves on. The gloves were pristine and compliant with all state-mandated rules. The gloves were taped on each fighter by the CSAC Inspectors.

At the conclusion of the fight, as we do in all championship fights, the gloves and wraps were collected by the assigned CSAC Inspectors and taken the CSAC ringside table. The gloves and wraps were inspected by myself, the Executive Officer and shown to the CSAC Commissioners that were ringside. WBC personnel were also shown the gloves which had not been tampered with.

Note: The CSAC Inspectors were highly trusted tenured personnel who had all worked numerous World Championship fights prior to this event. Many of the California State Inspectors assigned to this fight were also career Law Enforcement and Security personnel.

As the Executive Officer related, based on these practices and our personal observations, we are certain that the gloves used in the Wilder vs Fury 1 fight at the Staples Center were compliant with the rules and regulations governing gloves in the State of California.”

He got busted for improperly fitted gloves against Christian Hammer was it? They had him remove his glove. The dude is a gloves suspect hack. It's not out of the ordinary for him to do what's worked for him in past fights.

It wasn't improperly fitted, the thumb had detached from the glove. Such a serious issue that they let him fight with it anyways.

          Sigh.

It was a tear in the glove seam. They replaced it. It was a total non issue at the time.

Now five years later it's a big part of wilder moron fanboys "evidence".

No, he didn't get busted for improper gloves vs Hammer. The ref found a small tear in the thumb of one of his gloves before the fight, the glove was changed and the fight went ahead.

Read the article I linked to. I posted it for the benefit of fans like you who have no idea how thoroughly the gloves are checked and inspected both before and after a world title fight.

If you read it, I'm sure you will agree that it would have been absolutely impossible for Fury to have gotten away with removing padding from his gloves, let alone putting weights in them. Unless you are a troll, in which case you'll ignore the facts and carry on posting shit.

I wouldn't mind with the wilder fan girls if they had a reason but this is reason number 46 and it starts to feel like excuses after a couple

It was dumb when Floyd said Maidana’s gloves were tampered with and dumb here.
The gloves come straight from the manufacturer to the sanctioning body and go through multiple checks before the weigh in. Multiple gloves are sent so they have backups and often different color options.
Then on fight night the other teams corner can see and feel the gloves while the fighters hands are wrapped.
The idea that a glove manufacturer would risk their entire reputation and business for one fighter, much less a Wilder or Maidana is just ludicrous.
