Comments Thread For: Tim Witherspoon: Mike Tyson, In His Prime, Would KO Deontay Wilder Easily!

Two-time world heavyweight champion Tim Witherspoon would back Mike Tyson to score an easy knockout victory over Deontay Wilder - had the two boxers been matched in their respective primes. During his world title run with the WBC belt, Wilder criticized the heavyweights of the past - specifically Tyson.

Tim would have probably have a good shot at beating wilder in his prime too. He's one of the overlooked and underrated heavies from the past .
              Tyson 100%, no doubt there

Wilder will have to suffer these fantasy losses until he can right his ship.

I bet he won't be wearing any silly costumes in the near future.

The way Wilder throws his right needs the opponent at a certain distance so he can tee it up and step into the punch. When Tyson was at his best, Wilder would be going backwards to the ropes (quickly) after every break called by the ref and unable to throw. Not only would Tyson end him early on the ropes, but Wilder wouldn't even be able to throw a right before going down.
