Tyson Fury beat blood out of Deontay, then licked blood off his neck. That's never been done before. After the type of beating he took, I believe the Deontay of the future will resemble his brother Marcellus more than he will resemble the Deontay of old- a strong looking guy who can be hurt easier this time around. Although Deontay is courageous and strong willed, whether he can come all the way back physically and mentally after such a beating, remains to be seen

      One trick pony

Wilder has nothing but the, wind-up, fast-ball right hand. Mike in his prime had *tremendous* lateral head movement. First time Deontay missed, Mike would have chopped him to pieces with left and right combo hooks -- knocked him right the f off those chicken legs.

No doubt. Though there are Tyson apologists who claim he never had a prime.

I think when people talk about a “prime” Tyson, they are talking about the guy who was hungry and devoted himself to his craft before fame caught up with him. The one before Buster that had 3 clowns as corner men who put water in a ballon and use it as an eye swell. That prime Tyson, before Buster, blasts “chicken legs” out in less than 3 rounds, maybe 1 round.

I don’t believe MIke needs to be in his prime to deal with a Wilder ,Mike Will only get sharper this is just a little over a month of training. I think Wilder won’t make it to see round 4 with Mike knowing the world is watching if that fight ever happened .

Wilder will never look this good at any age ,age doesn’t fight it’s not a detriment in this case ,I would bet Mike looks better now then his last fights and would be focused .

I saw that video. Some people have said Mike wants to start with a few exhibitions With guys in his age range and if those fights go well, he will then try to get a fight with Wilder because he is the ONLY current fighter that really disrespected him. Wilder talking smack probably motivated Mike. That video is very explosive with him with no special effects. All the current fighters gave Mike honor and respect.

I’m rewatching these Ortiz fights with Wilder and can’t fathom how Mike is being written off when there’s no way I would say a late 40”s Ortiz would out perform a early 50”s Mike and out rule him not knocking Wilder out . I really don’t get people’s logic sometimes . Wilder is custom made for Mike at least before mid rounds which I don’t think it gets there . Mike would also pass a physical befOre Ortiz would ,he’s never failed one and the other guy has I actually did a thread on this I forgot about .

Wilder is not a good enough boxer to beat Mike, people say Buster was a bum (kids no doubt) but Buster had a good jab and that is what it would take to beat Mike.
Buster, Holyfield and Lewis had good jabs and knew how to control distance.

The fact is Wilder couldn't hold Mike's jock strap, even now I would take Mike by KO.
Why do they think Mike starting training again? He got tired of Wilder disrespecting one of the greatest boxers in history.
Wilder should have been humble, instead he got caught in his own hype (just like Ronda Rousey) despite having a weak resume.
Wilder will never be champ again, whereas Mike went to prison and still came back to win the title again almost 10 years after he first won the title.
                    Youngest heavyweight champ ever.

This shouldn't remotely be up for debate.
