Given Wilder is definitely a top-5 boxer. And Joshua is def a top-3 boxer. Neither fighter will win easily. Just speaking the truth. Wilder is a dangerous fight for anyone. Joshua is a dangerous fight for anyone. Whyte is top-5 too.

I can see Wilder landing flush on Whyteand getting a straight KO. Whyte doesn't have the movement. That fight will be like the Luis Ortiz fight except easier for Wilder as Ortiz is a better boxer than Whyte.
If AJ fights Wilder he will fight him like he fought Ruiz 2 - 'cept he'll be even more skittish. That'll be a case of who can best take each other's punches. I know AJ doesn't have a great chin and now I think Wilder's chin is no more than average as Fury is no great hitter but hurt him.Comment

AJ sparks Wilder early? The same AJ that ran from Ruiz in the rematch? Get outta here. AJ has lost his bottle for the fight, and it started happening well before Ruiz II.Comment

That’s the only thing I’m mildly interested in regarding an AJ v Pulev fight, whether Joshua fights gun shy or not.Comment

Maybe if he decides Pulev offers no threat he will start laying on heavier hands, standing more flat-footed, later in the fight. But really, if he can fight succesfully on the outside with minimal risk, you have to ask what's the upside in taking a different approach?Comment

Wilder avoided AJ, just ran away whilst calling AJ a coward. He made a big money offer then refused to send the contact or share the details.
Wilder fans see him make a big deal offer and assume AJ refused, Shelley told Hearne that he had to sign the deal BEFORE he read the terms and conditions and refused to send a copy of the contract.
All part of the protected paper champ legacy. Pretend the opponent is afraid whilst you run and hide.
AJ defeats Wilder with ease.
Wilder has fought 1 decent boxer twice and lost twice. He has a career based on fighting bums. He has no decent wins in his entire career as he avoids every single decent fighter.
Wilder is a massive fake and a coward, AJ beats him easily.Comment

My guess is Joshua will absolutely not (and will never again) come out guns blazing. I think, understandably, he will put a great deal of stock in his ability to fight at distance against Ruiz for 12 rounds. My understanding is that this approach has long been desired by his coaching team.

I think it worked well for him against Ruiz but offence might well be the best form of defence were he to ever fight wilder.
Wilder wants his opponents at that range to fully extend the right hand and didn’t look too comfortable backed up or fighting at close range. Also you could be outboxing Wilder for 90% of the fight and end up losing the fight with one lapse of concentration.
It sounds contradictory but taking more risk could be the least risky way to fight him, why not get the guy out of there early if he’s susceptible to it.
Joshua likes to be liked, even if he’s sent out to box smart, there could possibly be some internal pressure to fight in a fan friendly style and please the crowd so I’m still on the fence how he’s going to come out in his next fight.Comment

Do you think AJ and Whyte would just stand there or something? Wilder has the weakest chin out of the top guys in the division. Both guys would back Wilder up (in straight lines, he can’t even spell lateral let alone move that way) with the first punch, go into to that shabby peekaboo defensive stance he has and get ploughed like a field.
So, yes, I think they will stand upright and Wilder lands a bomb on their chin.Comment
