Ruiz is much better in my opinion. Arreola has lost many times and been stopped twice. Ruiz became a world champion while Arreola never came close in two attempts. Ruiz only lost twice and has only been knocked down once
Who was a better Mexican heavyweight?

That was the WEIRDEST think I've seen in boxing in a long time. He looked like those dudes when they were about to fight Tyson.
He put a boxing lesson on Ruiz but looked ready sht his pants the entire time.Comment

This is not even a debatable question. Arreola has more of a sparring partner mentality. He is a tough SOB though! Ruiz proved himself even though his training is not mostly consistent, when he is serious it shows in the ring. You have to question Arreola's commitment to training. Arreola fought Klitschko and Wilder in their prime. Not many fighters can make that claim. Only Arreola knows how much he gave to his fight game. Arreola is a has been, but the word "was" does not apply to Ruiz. He is 30 and has a bright future ahead. It must be great to be called a bum and demand a minimum of $5,000,000 per fight. Ruiz revived interest in the heavyweight division like no other in a long time and if he shows some flash he is going to demand some big bucks.Comment
