Our collective overreaction will come back to haunt us. The people who are/were most affected by COVID would have been affected by something.

I think the original plan was for the most vulnerable to shield, while th rest of us gained herd immunity. It made sense since a vaccine might well never happen or be an expensive con, and the economy wouldnt have to be smashed beyond recognition. Somewhere along the line they lost their nerve, i guess the constant media hysteria infected the public and now we got this.
