Everything the PBC does is badly promoted. Nobody in the US knew who Wilder was till Eddie Hearn came over and started publicising him, because Eddie wanted Wilder vs AJ on DAZN in the US.

Haymon tried to "invade" the UK, and his first headliner was DeGayle vs Eubank Jr, at the 02 Arena screened live on ITV PPV. That's 2 of the best known fighters in Britain, on Britain's biggest commercial TV channel.

Everybody in the country watches ITV, but only hardcore fans even knew that Eubank/DeGale was happening!

    It bombed, of course.

I hate to see any boxing talk shows canceled, but this show just couldn't hold my attention. It needed Teddy Atlas, stars from other sports, sports comedians, movie celebrities, etc., instead of just talking about the PBC stable the entire show in my opinion only.

I never watched it on TV anyways I would just catch snippets of it on YouTube I don't care if they cancel Max's show this one or the lame comedians from DAZN but just leave A Los Golpes please I get good laughs from Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. always messing with David Faitelson.

That fight would’ve been the first time I bought DAZN. Unfortunately Hearn is broke and once again tried to short change another fighter in Serrano

Stepping joke aside, I agree with you in all. The most I see that took a heavy blow was DAZN during this pandemic. This pandemic took DAZN when they still are waiting to see their invest to pay off in the worst wrong time, wrong place and wrong circumstances. In other words, this pandemic took DAZN in his still early stage. I made the jokes, but in reality I wish all company to return back to normal, for us to see the fights we want.

I agree. Porter is knowledgeable with good wit.

Fox doesn't carely nearly as much about boxing as the PBC shills would like you to believe. Boxing is still treated like a redheaded step child by the media and is always one of the first sports to face budget cuts during tough economic times.

It's a total disconnect between the rising popularity of boxing as recognised as one of, if not the best way of gaining overall fitness amongst fitness enthusiasts, and the executives at the major networks who still view boxing as 'niche' at best, dying at worst.

Boxing or the dubious boxercise industry for middle-class twats are springing up in gyms all over the world, proof that boxing is recognised as a truly top-level, respectable way to get fit.

This leads to some becoming casual boxing or MMA fans or both which is great for the sport.

I'm a volunteer trainer, and I'm getting more requests than I can handle from people who want to learn how to box.

We have a resurgent Eastern European, and U.K market that is brimming with talent, while North America seems to be steady, and some increase in interest in Asia.

Now, you'd think with some targeted advertising in the right places boxing could go from a non-existent sport in the media, to once again at least getting a mention.

Interest is booming - but those at the top seem to be oblivious to it, or don't care, or to wrapped up in their own bottom lines.

The reality in sports media should be driving the opposite way - with programming targeting those 'casuals' with not-so-serious analysis, mixed in with analysis for the fans.

Boxing is in the best shape - at least in popular culture than it has ever been - why haven't these idiots realised the untapped potential?
