Mike Tyson is literally 90% Aura. That intimidating aura is just his essence. Despite him catching beatings from Holyfield and lennox and Douglas. He still has a stronger aura.

There is no way in hell Foxx can capture that intimidating aura.

Foxx is a good enough actor, but saying he's great is kind of a stretch though.

Foxx has never done a bad job as an actor, but this is Tyson we're talking about. Pulling off the Tyson voice (without looking like a joke), the intimidating presence, his emotional meltdowns, etc. It's a big mountain to climb to be just like Tyson without looking like he's doing a mockery of Tyson. He did great as Ray, but that's no indication of how he'll pull off this Tyson role.

I'm giving this movie a chance, I really hope Foxx proves me wrong.

Does the story take place with Tyson in his 50’s?

Fox doesn’t have the muscles or speed to play Tyson they should just get a young black boxer to play Tyson

Right. Foxx literally was Ray Charles. In every sense.
Has bonafide acting chops but can’t capture Tyson’s aura? Ok then

How did Keanu Reeves Look (in your eyes) playing a martial arts expert in The Matrix despite having zero martial arts background?
They should have just hired some young black belt, no?

If playing Ray “didn’t prove you you wrong” (since you are the benchmark of great acting), then you will be disappointed.

I had no doubts before Jamie played Ray, I'm referring to doubts I have that Foxx can pull off this Tyson role.

You think just cause Jamie was great at playing an old, blind singer/pianist, that automatically means he's going to nail it playing the former baddest man on the planet?

Is the movie about Tyson in his 20’s or 50’s ?
