By the way give his highlights a watch, you'll take notice that he's a very good boxer with great defence and movement plus just fantastic combo punching. He had a lot going for him. One could learn plenty from his game, it's not like he was some bum who cherrypicked. He genuinely beat many top contenders.

The problem with his division is that the purses aren't big enough for guys to sacrifice two different sanctioning fees so unifications only really happen when there's a very popular fighter involved which is usually some Japanese fighters but that's about it. Unficiations are hard to get going at 105, they need the bigger purses there tbh they're still quality fighters worth watching.
