"[Gamboa is looking] very good. The operation was very complicated, but the doctors were at a very high level. The fact that in just three months he's come back to the gym is proof of that. The rehab was also very good. He's already training as normal," Roque told George Ebro.
Gamboa's POS managers and promoter first considered Gamboa a damaged goods and tried to act as if no surgery is needed at all to pay him less. But then had to accept surgery but now they say operation was very complicated.

No wonder it was, they should have made surgery IMMEDIATELY and not in few weeks.

Anyway, Gamboa has no chances against Davis rematch. We remember Hay vs Bellew. Davis is younger and will be better. Gamboa is old as *** and will have zero chin. He needs another 7 month to recover himself but they rush him into training just to sell him as soon as quarantine ends.

        hold up

"healthy gamboa takes out tank. remember gamboa beat salido who beat loma so hes already better"

long shot. gamboa expiration date was ages ago. he showed significant decline back in the michael farenas fight. sometimes hes good. tank ****** last time out, and he was worse on the mayweather-mcgregor undercard. but he was excellent against pedraza years ago. tank is such a wild card.

"It was a courageous performance by Gamboa but let's not forget that the foot injury came as a result of an early KD."

or the KD was the result of a ruptured achilles tendon. i keep rewatchin that and its still hard to tell.

Props to Gamboa for finishing their last fight. Most of today's fighters would have quit.

I don’t want to see Gamboa fight ever again. Sad, too, he was a favorite of mine, years ago. Never saw his full potential. Now he’s desperately trying to hold on to his career, and he has less than nothing left.
