But wouldn’t there training decrease their body fat ?
How are fat heavyweights able to have stamina for a 12 round fight ?

Fat is the largest energy reserve.
And they have no chest muscles.
The bigger chested boxers tire out faster regardless of weight class but more prevalent at heavyweightComment

Not necessarily, genetics and nutrition play a large part as well. Ideally yes but it's more complex than calories in and out after a certain point.
There are also many ways to train even within boxing schools and disciplines. Some guys swear by jump roping, others never do it. I'm a big believer in running, rope, light lifting, calisthenics, and HIIT as complimentary to pad work, bag work, and sparring.
And then let's remember the HW division is unique in that there is no upper weight limit. A guy like me has to choose between meeting 147 or 155 for example. Fighters my size tend to be leaner because we are constantly cutting weight. A HW can just bulk and then determine how much mass to put on before speed and stamina become a problem.Comment

Depends how much you eat really. You can run along way, burn 600 calories, then put it back with just one sausage sandwich. Believe me, I know. And because running makes me so hungry, I have two sausage sandwiches, which is why I'm getting fatter than ever..Comment

You are asking all the wrong questions and barking up the wrong tree.
You’re going to get destroyed, kid.Comment

Simple, PED’s!
Only one’s who seems like it’s all attributed to actual hard work and no pills or needles or wild boars is Arreola, Ruiz, and Kownacki!
The rest are a bunch of cheats who should be banned for years But it’s boxing!Comment

Of course they train hard if they want to fight well for 12 rounds. A heavyweight who is not fat will have better stamina than he would if he was fat but still a fat heavyweight can have good stamina if he trains hard and has good natural stamina..Comment
