  • Comments Thread For: Robert Rodriguez Takes Out Adrian Servin in Two Rounds

Adrian Sharky' Servin took a big risk in moving up in weight and going through with a fight against an opponent who came in well over the limit. It ultimately cost the Phoenix-based prospect his perfect record. Robert Rodriguez Jr. failed to do his job at the scale but did so in the ring with a 2nd round stoppage win over Servin in their ESPN-televised opener Thursday evening at MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas.

Commend Servin for his huevos but he paid for it. His opponent just looked more mature and powerful and was throwing some nice combinations. Sharky's defense was leaky and his chin was getting buzzed by the bigger man. Hope the losing gamble doesn't set him back too much...I'd like to see him again,.same.as his opponent.

I like how the prospect are shining here.

Fun fight, but I don't like the early stoppage, nevertheless Robert Rodriguez was going to TKO Adrian Servin anyway.

Does anybody know what the original contracted weight was for this fight I honestly didn't watch the weigh in just the card itself. I thought Rodriguez looked good but it's a shame he didn't make weight a lb or two doesn't seem like much but it's a big difference especially at the lower weights and can make for a big advantage.
