Stop bragging. There's plenty of mexicans, blacks, cubans, russians that are excellent boxers. Look at Greer bringing a damn pillow at the weigh in but got knocked down twice then lost.

Demarco should have gotten the decision but at least he's showing that he is not done yet and has something to give. Gave James a nice fight last year as well.

      Really solid card, enjoyed it!
Yeah, quite a few enjoyable fights in there last night. The HW bout was terrible, the DeMarco/Santillan decision was all wrong, but we had a nice competitive fight for the main event -- along with an upset -- and I enjoyed most of the fights on the card. Some powerful punchers, yet flawed boxers, that will be interesting to follow as they progress.

      • It was cute during the fight the US commentators were trying to prop up Greer, but Plania was just so much better and stronger throughout the fight.

Greer ran a lot and wanted no piece of Plania after the 1st knockdown.

Plania was patient but a bit too one-dimensional.

          • Imagine if that was casimero he would have slept in less than 5 rounds.

It was actually on 3 weeks notice. And he never fought below 122 since 8 fights ago.

Both guys need to work on some things. I just don't see either of these guys beating Donaire, Inoue, or Rigo.
You’re absolutely right, Plania wasn’t at his best and Greer handicapped himself by allowing the bigger man to fight at range majority of the fight!

Hopefully Greer can bounce back and maybe one day we can see a rematch as it was an entertaining fight that got more interesting later on!

Yeah I feel that either guy can’t hang with anyone in the top 9 but I think both can beat Maloney!

Plania needs better defense, stop dropping his hands, and get an inside game!

Greer needs to watch more of his tape and work on his flaws, he should’ve immediately noticed Plania needed leverage to whip his left hook and got in the trenches!

I think Plania if he can work on those things can be a real player at that weight class cuz he’s only 23!

Lol no he didn’t, he basically just tied him up the rest of the day way, he’s so much bigger than Greer that Greer couldn’t effectively fight out of the clinches too much!

Greer May need to drop down in weight, he’s not dynamic enough to be a top player in that weight class!

Plania is very one dimensional as well, he can come forward with pressure but has leaky defense or sit behind feinting jabs and that quick whipping left hook but other than that he has nothing else!

If Greer had a bit more power he would’ve stopped Plania who was getting tagged over an over with shots up close and only clinched to stop it!

So, Plania clinched to tied him up and Greet couldn't effectively fight out of it. That seems more like you're agreeing with my assessment that Plania found a way to deal with the change in tactics than with your own claim that Greer could have got the stoppage.

94-94, Please. Ray Charles scored it 97-92. Magic Mike was clearly the winner. Needs to learn how to deal with being pressured. Inside exchanges were so-so. His left is unlike any I’ve seen. His rotator cup has got to be a rubber band.
