Tyson Fury already has a Top 10 ATG Lineal title reign.

The Gypsy King has defended his Lineal title more times (6), than the following fighters:

5 - Jack Dempsey and George Foreman
    4 - Joe Frazier
3 - Evander Holyfield and Michael Spinks
2 - Rid**** Bowe, Primo Carnera, James J. Corbett, Gene Tunney and Mike Tyson
1 - Bob Fitzsimmons, Sonny Liston, Max Schmeling, Jersey Joe Walcott and Jess Willard
0 - Max Baer, James J. Braddock, Shannon Briggs, Buster Douglas, Marvin Hart, Ingemar Johansson, Michael Moorer, Jack Sharkey and Leon Spinks

Only 9 other fighters have had longer Lineal Heavyweight reigns than Fury.

Sucks to be a Tyson Fury hater. Watch the AJ and Wilder fans talk trash while their fighter's will never have the chance to make "the 0 defences" list.

He’s actually a two time lineal champion with zero defenses. He’s one of six boxers ever to win the lineal heavyweight championship twice, so he’s on an exclusive list anyway.

Don’t let ESPN fool you with its nonsense. There’s no way you can consider Fury a lineal champion who has six title defenses.

People can go on about belts etc, but at the end of the day, nobody can call themselves the champion until they beat Tyson Fury, all roads lead to him, he's the final boss, the Shang Tsung of the division.

      Til dis day!!

Hahaha! Did that narrative take off? People went from poo-pooing Fury's Lineal title credentials, to trying to say Fury beat Wilder for the vacant Lineal, in hindsight. Was that not a bad joke? People are really running with that narrative?

How did he become a 2 time? Who did he beat to win the lineal back?

They made up a narrative that Fury vs. Wilder II was actually for the "vacant" Lineal title. We just didn't know it at the time... actually most still don't.

Fury's career has far exceeded my expectations. He dethroned Wladimir Klitschko after a 9 1/2 year, 18-defense reign. Has defended the title 6 times vs. Seferi and Pianeta (tune-ups following 2 1/2 year drug ban), Wilder twice (draw, KO win) who had 10 WBC title defenses, and Schwartz and Wallin (undefeated European heavyweight prospects).

Wilder III, Joshua I, Joshua II would give him 9 defenses with victories over Wladimir Klitschko, Wilder twice, and Joshua twice. That would be an all-time resume.

Tyson Fury beat lineal champion Wladimir Klitschko to win the title the first time.

                  No one disputes that.

Fury retires and the title becomes vacant according to Ring Magazine and TBRB... the two most respected organizations when it comes to determining lineal championships.

Fury, Warren PBC, ESPN and Top Rank pretend Fury wasn’t stripped to creative a better narrative for themself/their fighter/their big fight.

But in reality, the lineal title is vacant according to the organizations that determine lineal championships.

Fast forward to Fury-Wilder 2. That fight was between the #1 and #2 ranked heavyweights according to both Ring Magazine and TBRB. A fight between #1 and #2 determines the lineal champion when a title is vacant. Fury won the fight and won the lineal championship according to both organizations.

It’s the second time Fury won the lineal championship according to Ring Magazine and TBRB, the two most respected organizations when it comes to determining lineal championships.

He’s one of six fighters to ever do this. But Fury and his camp can’t acknowledge it because it ruins the made up narrative they had before.

So now they’re in a quest to match Joe Louis’ record I guess? LOL

I can't agree with this. To me he lost the lineal title when he was out of boxing for 3 years. Then his first two fights were tune up fights with nobodies. Only Wilder was a legit opponent for a champion. so either fury lost his lineal title be not defending it as i and Ring magazine believe or at best he defended it twice against wilder. If you want to call every fight he had since beating Wlad as a world title fight then he does have 6 defenses. I don't. As far as all time great goes that is up to boxing and boxing fans to decide. i would call him a decent heavyweight champion but not a great one. A fighter being great or not is an opinion more than a proven fact.
