Looks like the subtle shots at Garcia are returning from Oscar! He's fed up!

Ortiz Jr is the truth though. Interested in seeing who he faces.

    And now Garcia responds:

I'm really not sure why Oscar even tweeted what he tweeted. This is deja vu from last year before Garcia signed his new deal.

Golden Boy Promotions is now prepared to pick up where it left off regarding its post-pandemic future. For now, it's very good news for one of its rising stars while a sobering reality for another. An Independence Day card to have been presented by Golden Boy are no longer in play, with the California-based promotional company already committing to move in another direction. The July 4 show would have been headlined by unbeaten lightweight contender Ryan KingRy' Garcia (20-0, 17KOs), who publicly expressed his displeasure over the financial terms for such a show.

Ryan Garcia has a huge ego but he is also very gullible and impressionable as a young man. His lawyer Lupe Valencia is likely responsible for the dilemma Ryan finds himself in. He's been receiving bad advice.

There won't be any fans in attendance, there will be extra costs associated with Covid 19 testing. You are not a world champion... 200k$ is more than fair.

Lack of activity will end up costing him much more than a few extra hundred thousand. Especially if Golden Boy pivots to making Vergil Ortiz their new poster boy.

Ortiz is the one they should have been pushing from the very get go. When Garcia started acting up the first time they should have put him on the shelf.

Ryan is acting like he is a world champion already without even having fought a former one at least lol kids a diva and he will be put in his place eventually. Him and his family are just salesmen now pushing some new reflex bag that costs 500 bucks when a cobra bag at 250 was already expensive. Hopefully he finds a career outside boxing because when that 0 goes so will alot of his backing and with the way he's acting nobody is going to want to put up with it I'm assuming he want's around a million for a stay busy showcase fight that is ridiculous if he was fighting someone like Linares I could see a 750k payday but for a stay busy he's lucky they offered him what they did.

While I think that Ryan Garcia has an over-inflated ego, he does have talent and star power. Oscar must be out of his mind to pick a public fight at all. He is supposed to be the adult in this situation. This makes it all but impossible for Golden Boy to keep Ryan in his stable beyond this contract. I am really disappointed in De La Hoya's immaturity and ******ity.
