So How Good of a Trainer Is Freddie Roach

Years ago boxing media was treating Roach as a miracle man

By the end of Roach’s career I think manny will STILL be his greatest creation

Given all this how great of a trainer is Freddie

The fact that he has dystonia in his left biceps, he has Parkinson's, he said he can't stand the twitching but the pain is tolerable. As well as sometimes when others stare at him with tremors he sometimes thinks "**** you, why me?" Knowing that he takes Botox injections in his back)neck he also had a breakthrough with the medication (more power to him) all this being said he is an amazing trainer and a gift to the sport training everyone with different backgrounds with keeping it real at the same time. He doesn't consider himself famous, just known enough "to enjoy it" I also believe all his physical work counteract s the Parkinson's, as many people who tried the sport explain that it gives them a relief of symptoms.

He's very good. I'm glad Aaron McKenna started training with him.

He may be going down hill due to being sick but I think he is a great hall of fame trainer and good boxers seek him out hoping he will work with them. Of course pac is the best he has trained because Pac is one of history's best fighters and he helped pac become great.

ATG. You can see the improvements he made when he trained Cotto. He became a much improved fighter, but too late in his career.

I think trainers are overrated at the elite level. Most of those trainers at that level are great. What’s really important is if their styles mesh with the fighter and the chemistry they have. I think Robert Garcia is a great trainer, but you wouldn’t put him with Mayweather. Mayweather sr is good, but you wouldn’t put him with a margarito.

If Cotto went to him sooner, you never know....

Wasn’t roach’s strength in creating game plans based on the individual strengths of each fighter

He prefers high offense but also trained slique Brotha James Toney

Good but overrated they gave this guy trainer of the year every damn time lol.

Good at teaching offense and footwork, not so much defense.

Manny demoted him and has Buboy as main trainer now and is doing just fine.
