France, America, Ireland, Singapore... these countries were all under English rule. They seem to be doing pretty well.

As an Irishman yet avid history fan with as much of a lack of bias as possible on the matter, I must concede that most ex British colonies tended to do well since they had British Common Law to adapt from in most cases. That and how they structured their economies seems to indicate that they did a great deal for spreading modernised civilisation around the world. In any continent you see it's been a common theme that most ex British colonies are the most successful countries there.

I still see Fury as the more real of the two though. Hence I read Furys autobiography and was deeply moved by his deep religious views eg reads the bible every day and the way he came back from that 12th round knockdown in the first fight against Wilder.Best bit of sporting action Ive seen ever.
