I feel like no matter who Crawford fights he'll be hated on by the PBC loyalists. If he fights Spence and wins they blame it on the car accident, if he fights Porter and wins he beat Spence's leftovers, if he fights Manny and wins he beat an old man, if he fights Danny or Thurman they already have losses and they are someone else's leftovers. Unless of course he jumps ship to PBC, then those same casuals will have him P4P #1.

spence/porter was a very good, close, fight....people actually were hoping that crawford would look at porter to hold him over

theres irrefutable proof that arum and crawford both said porters name before the mean machine fight and even right after...as something they wanted.....as soon as kenny porter said he could be called and they had the blessing both crawford and arum came out and said "thats not on our radar".......they didnt think haymon would bless his guys to make a crawford fight so they figured they could run their mouths and have people perceive that the pbc guys were ducking

why wouldnt arum and crawford make the pac fight before he fought thurman? wasnt good enough for them then but now its good because they beat the "overrated" thurman? they only want the pac fight now because he actually beat someone rated...before that they were acting like it was a mismatch and something they had 0 interest in....by "they" i mean arum and crawford themselves

I like Crawford anyway. Brilliant fighter, he'll deal with old pac quite easily.

I think this answered the thread starters question.

Even if he fights Pacquiao, people still won’t like crawford.

Crawford is 32 years old, he's been considered a top guy for like 7 years now and hasn't fought anyone we care about. I don't care for him, he squandered his career, one fight vs an old man is not going to make me "like" him "again."

                Would personally like:

                Pac-Crawford
                Spence-Garcia
                Undisputed

                Get this over with

I like him. Rooting for Manny though, don't think he will win but think he will give Crawford his toughest fight.

Most people love Crawford and are fans: especially "PBC loyalists" unlike the racist up above tried to lie. We love Bud and were the primary ones defending his position as not only a p4p fighter but the #1 p4p fighter.
I've seen 21 Bud fights. Ive seen 10 Spence fights. The problem with Bud is he made a bad business decision: according two his own goals. He wants the legacy and satisfaction of unifying the division: Then he should've signed a deal with PBC instead Top Rank when his contract was up. These two companies fight on different networks and have loyalty to their respective fighters AS WELL AS profit margins to make for themselves. Because businesses require a profit to maintain themselves you dummies. Thats like an AEW wrestler wanting to fight WWE wrestlers. Possible but hard to make because of negotiations. The smartest business decision regarding Bud's own goals mentioned above- would've been to sign with PBC. Then once that was over and accomplished he could've signed back to Top Rank. Here's the truth: Bud chose the guaranteed money and financial stability it would bring his family deal that Top Rank offered him- over the uncertainty that moving to PBC and possibly losing to fighters over there would bring him. The truth: That deal Bob offered him was NOT going to be there if Bud say loss to Shawn Porter and needed a new contract 3 years later. Bud essentially chose stability over welter legacy. Fights are still possible but he isn't a priority to the PBC businessmen. Just like XFL players weren't a priority to NFL businessmen & Bellator fighters aren't a priority to UFC businessmen. PBC is a company with a stable of fighters they're dedicated to growing and a PLAN of action for said business as well as profit they intend to cover and investors they are responsible too, etc...that's business.
I'll be glad if Bud fights again this year, I'll be ecstatic if he fights a top 5 welter though. You always move to where business is best for you- thats in any business. It's hard selling burgers to cow farmers- that's why there are more McDonalds in cities and not rural farming towns.
