Just to clarify, I wasn't talking about indentured Irish servants in the Caribbean, I was talking about criminals who were deported there to work on the plantations as punishment for their crimes. Those deportees were treated worse than the ****** and the Irish servants. Like I said, ****** had to be purchased and had value as property to the plantation owners, deported criminals didn't. Hardly any of them survived long enough to complete their sentences, and if they did, they to make their own way back to Britain by whatever means they could.
