I have to say, I was a little underwhelmed by ESPN's advertising (or lack thereof) for the TR fights. I know these aren't hot cards, but it is the return of LIVE sports. I mean, ESPN has been airing VIDEO GAMES for cripe's sake! Surprised, and a little disappointed, that they aren't making a bigger deal out of what Top Rank is doing.

Just curious how exactly do you think they should have went in promoting this card? Not like they could have ads on other live sports games. Hardly anyone is watching ESPN right now so you can't just promote the cards during a college football game with like 10M viewers.

I got ESPN+ and dint know about the fight until I saw the news the next morning. Went back and tried to watch the fight and couldn't...ESPN+ is a paid subscription however it is NOT the same thing as ESPN and according to representatives: ESPN/ESPN+?all other ESPN Subsidiaries do NOT air the same content. They rotate content. Don't know how long ill have to wait to see that fight.

I hear you - there's potentially less audience and the TR cards don't really have any big names to draw swarms of people (or get big bucks for advertising). But the story "boxing is back" really seems like an angle that would be newsworthy, worth talking about and really promoting on their talk shows. And also get the "live sports is back" message spread around widely, picked up by news stations and talked about. I'm no marketing team, so I don't know, it just seems like a wasted opportunity to get boxing on people's radar while there aren't other sports to drown it out.

That drives me nuts all the time! Somehow I manage to keep forgetting and try to watch ESPN content on ESPN+ and find I can't. And also, PPV on ESPN+, ugh! Pay for the streaming so that I can pay for the PPV? My subscription ends in a month or two (I got a year), and I'm on the fence about renewing it.

So now you finally understand what streaming on demand means. You LDBC boys were always dumb. Get DAZN!

Yeah, I guess maybe on shows like First Take or Get Up they could have promoted it. But right now it is difficult. And let's be real, the early schedule has mainly just one sided tune ups so the fans aren't going to be excited for that.

Btw, I ordered your book a few months back. Good stuff!

Only reason I won't end the subscription is because its apart of my Disney bundle. But it is extremely aggravating to deal with. If I'm paying I deserve access to all the content. Thats how it works anywhere else.

You've clearly never been to any college. Likely failed a grade or two. Cong****.
