It's sad for the current MMA fighters with that low pay but in reality I dont care they make more money than I make an a year. Hopefully this is a lesson for the younger generation who will either pick boxing or mma to train in order to go pro in the future. If your reading go boxing there is a better possible pay incentive.

This has been going on since the beginning. Tito Ortiz, Shamrock, Couture, the list goes on and on of people complaining about the money. $20mil in the pot. UFC takes 19 and the fighters split the rest. We have boxers here with similar records to "UFC stars" and get a lot more. With the exception of McGregor.Comment

The net worth isnt updated so could be from 2014 but even if you count it Jones fights once or twice a year, 2 fights equals to 5 mil each so my statement is still correct. Plus a simple google search can show you Jones said this already he makes 5 mil+ a fight. Youre missing the point where i said superstar mma fighters are getting screwed but the myth has to stop that superstar fighters are making pennies when 98% of boxers arent making what Jones is making. Boxers have a higher ceiling in pay but its such a common misconception boxers all make bank.
Who are the richest MMA fighters in the world? We've put together this complete list of the top 20 richest MMA fighters in 2025.
$10 million.
Where are you getting your information? Seems made up.Comment

Them taking 95% of the pot, as you suggested, goes into marketing future events, putting on better cards, building their social media platforms, advertising etc.Comment

Masvidal sure Jones, not really, he can walk away and in one shot make the UFC LHW division 2nd tier if he joins a different Org. I think he is angling for a bigger payday since he is bulking up planning a move to the HW division. (Guy i walking around at 240 atm).Comment
