No it wasn't everyone watching that fight including the British broadcast thought McDermott won they robbed him their words not mine and it's a shame because that could have been his big moment but politics pushed for Fury.

In boxing, you can use the inside of the glove to cut and thumb your opponents eyes -- but according to recent viral videos by fans and professionals, you can slide your fist down to the non-padded area and strike with your knuckles.

Former UFC HW champion Bas Rutten, demonstrates the close-line wrist-bone strike.

Tyson has also employed a type of forearm 'Close-line' technique, that is very dangerous : as the blow usually lands around the back of the head and if your opponent ducks it can land on the stem of the brain. However, its important to note that the back of the ear is the intended target -- which is also illegal in boxing and MMA.

The average geezer officiating Tyson's fights have no understanding of these deadly martial arts. As such, Tyson is doing it in plain sight and even getting praise from the clowns at ESPN. Even in slow-motion replays, Andre Ward, Tim Bradley and the Toprank cheerleader Joe Tessitore wont call these illegal-strikes, fouls.
If a fighter ducks and a punch hits him behind his head that is his fault unless it is intentionally thrown behind the head you can't really say that is a dirty tactic because the punch would land flush.

I agree open palm strikes are illegal I still don't see how people condone that and the fact nobody ever mentions that Fury usually has his trunks past his belly button amazes me it makes him look like a bottle of mayonnaise and of course gives an advantage when protecting against body shots.

Nah, most people thought it was a close fight that McDermott probably edged, not really a big deal tho, seeing as how it happened over a decade ago and Fury flattened him in a rematch.

Fury couldn't avoid that overhand right if his life depended on it seems to be his main weakness as a fighter. Regardless if it was a decade or a century ago it should've been a loss.

Hmm yeah he flattened him in the rematch probably because the dude had no option but to go out guns blazing in hopes of a knockout because he wasn't going to win on the cards as you can tell from their first fight. That or it was around the time Tyson Fury started dabbling in wild boar.

Haha stay salty, McDermott got outclassed in the rematch and admitted as much himself. Fury is already going down as the greatest HW of this era and he's not even got started yet.

            Easy work!

I would agree that these blows to the back of the head were un-intentional if it be any other fighter with a clean record. But Tyson Fury is repeatedly doing it, here is another piece of evidence.

You can go years back and replay Tyson's fights and see the same happening. This is not a random occurrence, there is a clear pattern : points deducted in fights for fouls, glove-tampering, PED violations, a ban for multiple violations to the sport and the list goes on. Therefore, based on the evidence, Tyson Fury is deliberately breaking the rules, Phooey is a cheat.

Lol I could care less bro I've said myself Fury is the best fighter currently I wouldn't say of this era he hasn't even made a title defense yet to me it's still Wladimir if Fury can make a few defenses and win some more big fights against champs then yeah he might go down as the greatest of this era.

Great thread. Lapped up my weekly quota of 1HR BUM's salty tears in one sitting.
