Yup, and those two continue to make the same mistake. Holyfield has 11 of those mistakes with 6 different women. Broner no different. You're saying it shouldn't matter how people want to donate their hard earned money? lmfao

It makes a huge difference. I'd donate to guys like McClellan and Benitez. I'm not going to donate to some idiots child support fund.

I don't agree at all. These people earned fortunes and were either ill advised or plain ******. Fighting is a short career, every boxer should know that.

That is true in that people get taken advantage of but it's ultimately the fighter's fault for allowing themselves to be taken advantage of. Now I know these guys aren't the smartest men in the world but you always have to look at who you are surrounding yourselves with and what their motives are. Now I believe in always trying your best to help out those around you, but why should that be on the guys you mentioned in your first post? Having the same occupation can't be it

              Everything is relative.

Do you hand over some cash to a beggar in the corner of the street? Why not? He's/she's way down below your economic status in life. Why don't you have that kind of responsibility you're speaking of?

Did any of you americans watch Evander Holyfield when he went on 'celebrity big brother' in the UK?
These are Z list celebs. He looked absolutely broken as he was sat next to Luissa Zissman (random attention seeking ***ish girl trying to be famous with zero talent) who was just talking absolute ****e.
like 'i dont belong here...this is what im reduced to..'

she lured him in..and i saw it coming, trying to get him to open up so she could trap him in a convo like this

I see what you’re saying but blame promoters and crook managers who stole from these guys, and blame them as well. Not other fighters who don’t owe them anything. If you made hundreds of millions during your career, or even 30-40 million and you’re broke, that’s on you. Why should a guy who made the same money but was smart and started businesses come out of his pocket to help someone who didn’t help them self? There has to be some kind of accountability and I say this as someone that’s financially helped out dozens of people in his life and I still do it.

Barkley/Hearns/Tyson etc didn’t give Floyd money when he was broke and they were laughing. No reason for him to help them when they had millions just like him. They screwed it up and that’s on them. Of course it’s sad but they have to accept some kind of responsibility.

                      1. ANY fighter who listens that deserves to go broke for being dumb. That's not a widely spread notion in any other sport and shouldn't be in Boxing.
                      2. Are Fast Food cashiers expected too help out other fast food cashiers? Are Fortune CEOs expected to help out other fortune ceo's? The average American survives off far less than athletes/celebrities make- and for the most part just fine. These millionaires aren't taking homeless average joes off the street when they have millions. They drive right pass them.
                      3. It's NOT always the Promoter/Manager at fault for fighters/athletes going broke. They keep going broke because of people foolish enough to always blame everyone else but the fighter themselves. The fighters go throw money away. The fighters aren't reading the contract. Is there shady business? Yes. That's just common sense. Shady business isn't the reason for this widespread phenomenon though.
3a. People hate Don King over ONE JACK*SS named Mike Tyson. People hate one of the greatest promoters of all time over Mike Tyson. DK made Tyson HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS. That was what DK did for Mike. Mike would've been finished after his loss to Buster and **** bid if it wasn't for DK. Mike decided to do hookers and drugs everyday. Mike decided to buy a freaking white tiger. All of that was Mike. Only after he loss it all did he try to blame DK. DK isn't the richest guy out there. His net worth is available to look up. Had he stolen (somehow without any prison time) 100s of millions like dummy Mike said then DK would be loaded right now. Robert Garcia said he made great money with DK and never had any issues. He also spoke on Mike making 100s of millions thanks to DK.
3b. I watched Zab try to ***** on DK over a million dollars in an interview. Funny part about it was Zab's story wasn't even clear. At all. It didn't make sense and was missing pieces. Zab just expected listeners to be upset with him. Zab was also a dummy and a known hothead.

                      4. I could've had 2 classic fights remembered throughout history with a fellow fighter that made us both $60 mil. If my opponent is broke within 10 years and I happen to bump into him one day. I just won't mention money or I'll keep moving pass him like I don't know him. Depends on if I feel like talking that day.
Stop babying these grown men because they wouldn't baby you.
