How come financially well off boxers like Lennox, Klitchko bros, Leornard, Mayweather, Canelo, Foreman etc. don't provide financially to their fellow boxers that are financially struggling? Why not give them some money to help them get on their feet? There are are a lot more boxers that are struggling financially that are not on this list, but these are just a few.
Iran Barkley was a WBC Middleweight, IBF Super Middleweight and WBA Light Heavyweight champion. During his playing career he amassed around $5 million. He was homeless in 2010 and was surviving off meals provided by friends.
Wilfred Benitez He is the youngest world champion in boxing history. When he was just 17-years-old he won a split decision over 30-year-old Antonio Cervantes for the WBA light welterweight championship. Sadly, today he is confined to a wheelchair and relies on government assistance to survive. His father mismanaged most of the money his son earned.
