Charlo looks great because he doesn't fight guys like Sergiy Derevyanchenko and he intends to keep it that way.

The only way it doesn't happen is if Charlo throws his belt in the bin like Canelo did when he wanted to wait out GGG.

Derevyanchenko is number one contender and will be named mandatory challenger soon.

It seems like PBC wants Charlo Eubanks next, no problem. Charlo vs Eubank and then by the time that fight happens, I'm sure Derev would have been named mandatory.

Finally this clown will fight some live bodies.

Sure, GGG and Canelo both blatantly ducked him, but **** he also been ducking Jacobs, Benevides, and Andrade.

He'll have no choice now once Derevyanchenko has been named mandatory.

I don't see Charlo dropping his belt to avoid the fight. Hell try his best to stall and avoid it probably, but he won't drop the belt I know that much. The belt is the only thing that makes him relevant, so he'll want to defend it.

Jermall struggles against slick, cagey southpaws, he's never had those problems with orthodox stance fighters like he had with Trout and Koborov.

Also, what people ignore is that not only was the Koborov fight on short notice, but Koborov had actually been training for YEARS to beat Charlo.

There was a time Koborov was not even competeting at 160 but at 168, and Charlo was still at 154, not even champion yet, and Koborov was calling him out every chance he got and bragged about having the formula to beat Charlo.

He's actually been obsessing over Charlo for that long and it ain't even a secret because some of those articles were posted right here on boxing scene.

This guy has been studying and preparing for Charlo for years, so for him it wasn't really short notice as much as it was for Charlo.

Nevertheless I still believe that even though Charlo won, Koborov deserved a rematch.

making demands? He's the mandatory challenger. He's with the same promoter. All he's saying is he thinks the fight will happen. As far as "not having fans", he was in the fight of the year last year. A lot of people thought he beat GGG. What's Charlo done lately? Besides having his man purse stolen by a fat white woman?

He's number one contender but not mandatory challenger yet. The wbc has not ordered the mandatory yet, which probably means they still plan to have an eliminator for him to establish the mandatory position.

So Charlo probably still has a voluntary defense or two between that and being forced to fight Derevyanchenko.

I also understand why Charlo would want to wait until the mandatory is ordered before fighting him.

If you make a mandatory defense, I believe you can't be ordered to fight a mandatory again for another 12 months.

But if he fights Derevyanchenko before he is made mandatory, then it will count as a voluntary defense, and he'll find himself being ordered to make a mandatory shortly after.

It's more convenient to wait until Derevyanchenko is declared mandatory.

Also if he waits for that, purse wise it makes sense. Charlo can just demand 75 percent of the money.

If Derevyanchenko refuses, then they go to purse bid and the 75 percent clause is imposed by the rules anyway.

seriously any combo of those fights is going to be quality.


Even the HW division at pbc looks very good if they actuallly just give us what we want and stop with the antics. I don't want to see no dead end fights.

Wilder, Ruiz, Ortiz, Yoka, Ajagba, Joe Joyce (depending on his fight vs Dubois, if he loses to Dubois then Dubois could easily step into pbc with frank because he is lacking opponents with frank..plus frank cant afford to lose him to TR, so i see Dubois either getting signed by Eddie or getting fights on PBC).

heres the thing though...

if charlo gives us chenko and eubank in the next year i think its safe to say that people will be reasonably happy with charlo....thats a decent couple of fights for charlo especially considering his resume and what were used to with him

for andrade is canelo....hes not likely to see golovkin....canelo is his best hope but thats no lock....if he doesnt get that then what else is there? more culcays and keelers?
