Is Canelo the most avoided Middleweight in history

Really tho! This situation is worse than gggs because PPL are ducking hi risk hi pay. GGG on the other hand claimEd to be overpaying oponents just to get them to fight was a 90k payday and a guarantee they we’re getting KTFO. Remember vanes only got paid 250k at the height of gggs popularity.

I think the problem is dudes have seen how much some of Canelo's opponents have gotten paid and they figure if they hold out they might get more.

Fighters don't really avoid those kindsa paydays but they do hope to maximise em I think. In the current circumstances some of em might find its a tactic which backfires though.

Literally nobody is avoiding Canelo every boxer in that weight range wants that fight they aren't willing to take bread crumbs knowing Canelo is eating steak. I dont blame them on one hand but on the other all they gotta do is make a good showing for themselves and even if they lose they hit the lottery so to speak.

Canelo is by no means avoided though.

That is one of the problems, but in this case you have fighters, promoters, managers and fans all setting road blocks! Fans are ducking these fights. It wasn’t like that with ggg. Fighters we’re getting ridiculed back then

I like Canelo but he’s the most protected boxing in recent times not named Wilder. And he has at least two questionable wins on his resume.

There are at least 4/5 very good names he can fight at middleweight but he stays cherry picking fights he can win.

Just said him in the Tua thread, but, ya know, I reckon Sam Langford.

Joe Butler, King of The Middleweights, also very much avoided.

Thing about the colored champions is they fought one another a ton, but, were avoided like the plague by the lineal champions. I don't think the modern era has seen avoidance like the colorline era. That **** was systemic and ****.

The best of them, ever, five time colored HW, colored MW, and NSC HW champion Sam Langford was the most feared MW of all time. He brought little money and a had a huge chance of kicking your ass.
