DVC won’t allow himself to get bullied at the negotiation table. He isn’t a sheep like the people who think all Canelo opponents should fight for peanuts.
Canelo fans look really ****** again

Just the very general point that the fighters who have the biggest names, the biggest promoters and the biggest fanbases have more opportunities to get the best opponents. That opportunity ain't equally distributed in boxing.
I was thinking of dudes like Maravilla or Andrade or indeed Golovkin with smaller promoters, maybe from nations without as much heft in the boxing world or less dramatic styles, compared to a dude like Canelo, Floyd, Oscar. Simple fact that privilege exists within boxing... some dudes get picked up early, get the best promoters, matchmaking, backing of the Sanctioning orgs, Vegas - they got the right look, the right nationality, whatever, but others ain't so lucky. That ain't to detract from the abilities of the chosen few, after all they still have to be good enough to take advantage of the opportunities offered, merely to say not all fighters get the same chances to shine.
Some dudes get the pick of the opponents and others get the scraps that fall from the table is kinda what I'm saying, and it ain't really the fault of the fighters, merely the way the boxing business is set up.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 06-04-2020, 04:10 PM.Comment

I agree. That perspective needs to be had when discussing certain fighters and their careers. Not everyone is going to have the same paved road to glory.Just the very general point that the fighters who have the biggest names, the biggest promoters and the biggest fanbases have more opportunities to get the best opponents. That opportunity ain't equally distributed in boxing.

Canelos choice in Dirrell is not a good one, but considering the circumstance that we are in its understandable, ggg on the other has had Szeremeta lined up BEFORE the pandemic... don’t act like it’s the same thing and Dirrell is still better then Szeremeta anyway. Carry on
Lmfao
How long have you had these feelings for Canelo ?
If the tables were turned , I bet you wouldn’t be saying the same thing
But carry onComment
