She is right, a lot of them would quit, that's why there are 2 minute rounds.

Actually first time I heard that women box 2min rounds.

Because I never follow or watch women's boxing or UFC.

Woman’s tennis play three sets instead of five because usually the games last longer. There’s less Aces. Often longer rallies, which can be exciting for sure. Points on average take longer to score then men’s. If they played five sets the games would be much longer like they used to be. They still have to sell this stuff. They get paid to entertain. If the Woman want three minute rounds and it makes for better fights than maybe they can earn more. Three minute rounds could end up even lowering the KO ratio against time fought too. We might more KOs but not more KOs per minute fought. Let them try it. See how the stats shake out. Maybe it will be more entertaining, maybe it won’t. This is prize fighting. U have to draw money from the fans. We don’t owe them anything. If female fights are 3 minute rounds and that attracts less fans, then what incentive does a promoter have to put them on a card? Any boxing fan can tell u in most female fights they have a better chin to power ratio in general than men’s fights. They say that lost minute is the reason so few KOs? Well what do they have to say about the extra rest?! No benefit there?

3 minutes per round is fine. If they want pay equity though, let them put on all female fight cards and see where the attendance and ratings go. Then they can adjust their pay scale accordingly.


These female athletes just cannot understand that professional sports are entertainment businesses. The only female sports that anyone really cares about is Tennis and to a lesser extent UFC

Women’s boxing can be 10 minute rounds or 30 second rounds. Still wouldn’t watch. And due to the fact that no one gives a fck about it/watches it continually.. the women get paid upon that result

Why are women boxing rounds capped at 2 minutes in the first place?
