The differences in pay between Boxing and the UFC is often exaggerated. Like Boxing the UFC is very top heavy when it comes to pay with the less popular fighters sometimes making chump change but that applies to a lot of boxers as well.

The UFC for whatever reason is more secretive with their purses. The "official" purse for Jon Jones for example will be only 500k-800k but Jones admitted he's been making 5 million a fight but he still wants more.
