If shields says it’s gonna be 900k ppV buys why not pay Laila 5M? At 60$ a pop that’s 54M revenue from the ppv alone 5M is actually low for those kinds of numbers

Laila Ali asking for 1 year to train at 43 years old is not outrageous at all. That sounds pretty reasonable for some one who has been out of the ring almost 15 years now. Shields is in her prime and in fighting shape and has been training all her life, so she doesn’t understand the amount of ring rust a former boxer will suffer from after over a decade of inactivity.

As far as $5million goes, well that’s a lot but that’s not the most i’ve seen a boxer thinking of coming out of retirement ask for. Lennox Lewis in 2008, said it would take $100million to bring him out of retirement. And he stuck by that number in 2013 and 2019 when asked again.

And Shields saying it should be 60-40 in her favor, lol. She is calling out a retired boxer, 13 years retired, and wants the lion’s share and is also complaining that this boxer who hasn’t boxed in 13 years needs 1 year to prepare. She sounds desperate while Laila Ali sounds like she doesn’t care and would take her time.
