Considering Ali would be the A-side since no one has every heard of Shields, she has ever right to demand $5M. She'd been out of the ring for over a decade, she's 43, and Shields is desperate for a marquee fight.

First of all shields is a novice , secondly she's doesn't punch hard and looks good against very average level fighters that are classed as " world class" in a sport and division with no depth at all. How desperate when as a " double Olympic champion " in your prime you have to call out an old lady who only trades on her dads name .. and if showtime are paying her £300,000 for her last fight they are crazy and someone needs firing . Ive said it before I'm all for equality and if female entrepreneurs believe in female boxing then they should pit their money where their mouth is and underwrite their gender and promote all female shows the way male entrepreneurs did all those years ago to kick start boxing in the 1st place , don't expect men to underwrite losses in the name of equality , everything these days is about promoting women in sport and it's men's sport that is supporting it at a loss and even women largely would rather watch male sport than female sport .

First of all Claressa, she IS a bigger name than you in boxing.

Whether it's because of her daddy or not, her last name is Ali so stop trying to compare names.

Second, she hasn't fought in over 10 years and you STILL haven't made as much money as her and that's INCLUDING inflation.

Lastly, you initially said the money was there and it wasn't a problem but now you're saying she's pricing herself out.

Bottomline, let it go move on and keep ROBBING Showtime for $300,000 per fight.
