Fighting Mike Tyson would get that even for one fight but in current realistic ones ,Wilder doesn't get him that. I would be hard pressed hes getting anywhere near AJ's DAZN contract which was over a hundred million in itself not including fights generated even after losing. Fury has to defeat AJ to remotley claim what he is and even then it doesnt mean much because its the style of the fighter along with promotion that gets a following ,and its still AJ, these are just facts.

What ?!?
If they generate the money by getting people interested enough to buy PPV or come to the fights, of course they should get it !
Same for the biggest pop stars, comedians, or performers of any kind. If they generate the money, where should it go instead other than their pockets ?Comment

The only way for it to happen is if he doesn't fight AJ in the next 2 fights. If he beats Wilder and AJ next 2 fights then what fights would he have after that would generate enough interest for a contract as big as he says? The only play he has is to run out his contract and then have the bidders line up for the AJ fight.Comment

I have been very critical of Tyson Fury but look at the quality of fighters he has beaten! How can anyone argue he is not the best of all time?Fury signed a five-fight pact with Top Rank in February 2019 and has since gone 3-0 during the deal, beating Tom Schwarz in June, Otto Wallin in September and Wilder in February.
I hope his new deal includes a rematch with Tom Schwarz.Comment

Yes I agree. He became favourite when he beat Schwarz, Wallin and Wilder. If he lost now there would have been no warning signs at all... It would be a really huge surprise to us....Comment

Highly doubtful. Top Rank and ESPN are not going to pay that type of bread. Two things are going to prevent that type of contract, Fury is not a Star in the States and no live gates are also going to contribute. I even forsee DAZN trying to get out of the Canelo contract or renegotiate the same goes for GGG, if things don't get better. And the way things are going in the world, you could probably bet on it.Last edited by Greenfield02; 05-31-2020, 05:30 PM.Comment

I was fantasizing about an ideal world, mind you. Just a dream. What ?!?

Anyhow, as right as you are in terms of economic laws, I still think that too many performers - in several areas of entertainment and sport - are grossly overrated, and consequently overpaid.Comment
