Translation: i ran like a girl from ruiz and still plan to avoid deontay wilder. Can my fans ignore these 2 things and call me the best?

If aj beats wilder 1 or 2x pending competiveness fury 2 out of 3 times. Whyte 1 more time ortiz usyk and dubious 1 of 2x. Then aj would be a great. Yet bs mandatories and politics plus other unforseen things would get way of these great fights if aj can break into america plus win those onslaught of fights aj would then be the most bankable and marketable

Your projection rather than a translation. The words he spoke were stating his belief about how his career will end up. In other words, forwards looking. He didn't say anything in the quotes about people calling him the best right now.

And really, anyone complaining about a boxer that dishes out punches for 12 rounds, while avoiding getting hit back for the most part is either unable or unwilling to understand a large part of boxing.

If he can knock off Fury then he would make a huge statement

Fury probably beats him, and has the more eye catching top wins (Wilder x2 and dominating Wlad) but Joshuas resume has more depth. Hes the only guy thats actually gone through a decent chunk of current top ranked HWs, and hes done it while having relatively few fights, because he stepped up pretty quickly and is the only top HW who cant get away with padding his record againt absolute cans here and there between the big fights.

The attack on him over his approach to the Ruiz rematch mostly comes from people that wanted him to get into a slugfest so he would lose again, imo. Styles make fights, you dont get into a mid range scrap with a short, durable guy with much quicker hands who throws flurries to your body, hooks, uppercuts etc etc. Joshua went back to the drawing board for the rematch, lost weight and boxed a near shutout. Its funny because it was kind of a reversed version of how Fury approached the two Wilder fights. Being able to adapt is the sign of a great fighter.

After Pulev, what you're saying You're looking at around another 10 fights which I don't think AJ has in him..

There's a very good chance that Fury could possibly retire Wilder.

After a back and forth drawn out saga with Fury, that's another year an half to 2 years gone,

Then Whyte, and Usyk another year plus...

Ortiz pension would have kicked in

              Dubois twice another year..

I just can't see it myself. I see 2 v Fury, Usyk, should he come through things in the division. Whyte if he's still churning out wins and not ducking mandos. Maybe Dubois should he burst onto the scene. Other than that I can't see anything happening. 5/6 fights at a push I think and that's if he wins throughout..

The greatest of his generation? For me, The division is relatively poor so it doesn't go down well history wise in the grand scheme of things...

Fury, just because he's a zero to his name is the one with the better chance of that imo if he went your AJ route...

not if you duck Fury, like you ducked Wilder, like everyone expects

uh, no... we will look at his entire career, just like AJ

the high-points, and the low points... just like with AJ

Tyson Fury beat a better version of Klitschko...

... AJ went life-and-death with a worse version of Klitschko, and then he got flattened 4x by a unknown bowling ball who took the fight on short notice

if AJ beats Fury, then he will be the best... if AJ loses to Fury, then he will not be the best... and if AJ does not fight Fury, then AJ will be known as the guy who did not fight Wilder AND Fury, after getting flattened 4x by a unknown bowling ball who took the fight on short notice
