Yes, from the amateur beginnings to his sad ending against McCall.

I never express opinions without having a clear idea of what I'm talking about. Believe me, Damiani was nothing special. He ranks there with the average Italian "champions" such as Rosi, Oliva and the likes. People who could beat B-level fighters but, as soon as the bar was raised, inevitably lost.

Let me remind you that there were Tyson, Holyfield and others you know well in Damiani's era. Even someone like Bert Cooper (in one of his rare good nights, that is) would have made mincemeat of Damiani, if you ask me. Not only he was fat and lazy, he just lacked heart.

Fury speaks well of him but who knows. I liked the sound of him until I realised he was a copper but now 🤮
Yes Rocky was of Italian decent, but born, raised & trained in the USA. As for the Ambling Alp, wasn't he in a kid for two farthing with David Kossoff & Diana Dors?!

Lol I’m not saying he’s an ATG.... just was a contender. He was robbed of gold in LA and also did win the WBO championship. He was winning handily against mercer until his big nose got in the way 😂😂😂

Well, in your first reply to someone who asked if there were really great Italian fighters, you mentioned him
