Because fury is genuine and has always said what he thinks regardless of the consequences.

Joshua personality is manufactured to get casuals to love him and maximise PPV buys. So now when he tries to say something controversial or trash talk it sounds ridiculous, like a corporate puppet pretending to be something he’s not.

Bear in mind the headline suggests something that Joshua never directly says. He alludes to it in an elliptical manner, but nearly everything he says is bigging Fury up. The implication is that the only time he should be saying something negative about Fury is on the day they fight, and then he devotes all his other comments on Fury to saying what good he has done, even going so far as saying he is a 'great person' who has done 'great things in boxing.'

Certainly had a fair bit to say especially after saying the only time he should really be talking about Tyson is when they fight...

Context is everything. He says he is happy to talk about the good things Fury has done for mental health. Until the day they fight, it boils down to him saying Fury is great. Nothing wrong with that, and you have to understand this is in response to batting away question being asked specifically about Fury. There are more stirctly limited ways to deal with the question, such as 'no comment', but do you really want that?
