Comments Thread For: Luis Ortiz: I Just Need a Name and Date - I'll Even Go Against Mike Tyson!

Since he couldn't go to the gym, Luis Ortiz built one in his house. He sought the help of a carpenter and made a ring, as well as assembling other necessities. Now he's only missing an opponent, but the Cuban heavyweight hasn't stopped training. Even before the coronavirus began he was working hard for a planned ring return.

He just needs a name and date and he's ready to go unless that's June 1, 2019 and the opponent is Anthony Joshua...then it's no-go. Have to wonder what would have happened had he accepted the offer to fill in for Big Baby Miller. Instead Ruiz took the opportunity and cashed in.

In all seriousness, I think Ortiz needs to notch a notable win before anything else. I wouldn't mind seeing him against Ruiz or Martin, Kownacki or maybe even Helenius (I realize not all of them make sense rankings wise but all are PBC). Right now, he has a win over Jennings and two stoppage losses to Wilder as his resume.

Interesting fight since they're both in their 50s and on PED.

When Tyson was kid, he used to look up to Ortiz.

Wallin is another logical choice. Ortiz is known for being stopped by Wilder, Wallin is known for being outboxed by Fury. They should fight to find out who is the real deal.

I am also fine with Ortiz -Ruiz and Helenius -Wallin. I would love to see that.

Iron Mike is way too young for Ortiz.

Mike would show most how foolish they are ,in the process he would also show how weak Wilders resume really was because he would stop Ortiz in under 4 rounds .
