Comments Thread For: Davison: You Have To Admire The Self-Belief of Deontay Wilder

Ben Davison, the former trainer for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, is very confident his former pupil will defeat Deontay Wilder in their trilogy fight. After more than two years of inactivity, Fury resumed his career in 2018 with Davison as head trainer in the corner.

More to do with delusions than self-belief. Mayweather had self-belief, no rematch clause in his contracts even if he lost. That's self-belief, not someone whose resume is full of mediocre boxers for 95% of it.

Deontay 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder, did not force the Gypsy-Bum to wear a different type of glove in the rematch vs. Tyson Fury ( like Tyson did John Mcdermott in their second fight ), despite video evidence on the web that suggest Tyson may have tampered with his gloves in the first fight, and later corroborating reports from Tyson's former sparring partner Nicholas Asberry only confirmed what we already knew -- that Tyson was a cheat.

You got that coward paper champion A.J of the UK, who made Andy Ruiz fight in a 22 foot ring, to gain a upper-hand in their second meeting. The chicken Anthony Joshua said on video that he felt that beating Andy in America was the right thing to do, yet he did not live up to his conviction and forced Ruiz to fight in Suadia Arabia, with all of his repulsive tattoos in-front of appalled and disgusted ******s. I dont even think they served Andy's favorite pork tacos for lunch, this was all a psyops on the unsuspecting dope Andy Ruiz ; who was in bad need of money.

You had Luis Ortiz, fail a PED test leading up to the first encounter with Deontay Wilder. Despite Ortiz doping, the 'Bronze-Bomber' had supreme confidence in himself and KO the juice-head, twice.

Now once again, Deontay Wilder is injured and could justify avoiding a rematch given the circumstances, like the way Tyson had second thoughts and decided to sign with Toprank and fought Otto Wallin instead, but Deontay has the heart of a lion and is as determined as a Honey Badger.

That's what happens when ref saved you from further punishment. You can live to fight another day. Wilder can convince himself if ref didn't step in he could have nailed fury with punch like in 12th round of first fight.
That's the only problem saving wilder from beating, it's created a monster

check again mayweather has had many rematch clause in his contracts so have many legendary fighters before him, it doesn't necessarily mean lack of self belief but rather good business because this is boxing anything can happen.

The self belief also came with having a blanket called Barclays center and or promotion control knowing he wouldn’t lose on scorecards so he could lose every round and swing for the fences with no consequences. When Arum and Fury took that away those in the know knew he was done .

Wilder needs to win rounds ,the gift scoring won’t happen anymore nor any commission buying him time in the ring . The referee Bayless was trying too help Wilder so maybe that’s the only loophole left ? But a referee cannot win a fight for any fighter that can’t win rounds .

I have never seen him have one, especially when he became the A-side, and having one isn’t bad business, you got to protect your investment.

You get slapped around this forum worse than Wilder got slapped around. Just give up you weirdo.

We can expect a knock down drag em out fight from Deontay Wilder. In addition, we can expect a very prepared and highly focused Deontay this time too.

The words quit and surrender are not in his vocabulary but they are in Tyson Fury's. He has broken down before and he could just as easily break down again.
